FTR Helmet is new in the market but it has been available in the online selling world for quite some time now. But the actual product launch happened at their Malabon distribution center. We were introduced to several full-faced models and had an actual test of the FTR FF861.

It’s an actual product test launch ride. With product briefing to start off to further introduce the helmet. And a short city ride to further justify safety, comfort, and convenience of owning one.

Here’s what we got so far after wearing and using the FTR FF861 during the product launch ride.

At A Glance

Looking closely, the FTR FF861 is an eye appealing helmet. The color hue is just right for night riding to keep the light bounce that aids visibility. During the ride, the dark shaded visor manages to deflect light. That makes it appropriate for day riding. It also has a reserve visor in cases of night ride for clearer sight. And it is intercom and eye-glass ready.

Comfort

One factor that dictates comfort is its interior padding and airflow system. Its interior liner regards details relevant to comfort. Its component has three convenient features – removable, washable, and ergonomic (Three-dimensional design that molds perfectly to the contour of the head). As with the airflow system, it was discussed during the briefing that the helmet is designed to have 32% air intake and 12% air exhaust to manage airflow. We can’t validate the percentage of air coming in and going out but it sure fits comfortably.

Even under the sun during stop, the vent keeps it cool inside while further keeps at a comforting temperature as you move from stop. Noise coming in is significantly reduced especially when moving, vibration is not concerning. With this, if you plan to use an intercom it is highly utilized.
