1st #PMX2022 brought all sport involved in car racing in one venue

Competitive driving of motor vehicles finally came together aiming to promote different types of racing in the Philippines.

The successful exposition of the 1st Philippine Motorsport Expo 2022 at the Blue bay Walk, Macapagal has ended. Held last October 15-16, 2022, the gathering converged different disciplines of motorsport racing. It gave a glimpse of prosperous motorsport in the country. To give some insights, here are some of the popular racing scenes for you to pin on your calendar.

FlatOut Race Series and ROK GP Cup Philippines

This is a local go-karting race series usually raced on scaled-down circuits with traditionally small two-stroke and four-stroke internal combustion engines.

Full Throttle Weekend

This is a combination of the TOUGE BATTLE and CLUBMAN RACING SERIES. Joined together into one exciting weekend race. While Clubman Race is a gentlemen’s racing series of the most beautiful and exciting cars that you don’t normally see on track, the Touge Battle is a time attack race against yourself. Another driver runs a few seconds either in front of you or behind you. 

GR Vios and GT Cup

The GR Vios Cup is Toyota’s premier one-make-race series in the Philippines. And the GT Cup is the digital race, Gran Tourismo, powered by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. Champion drivers are created out of the Toyota burning passion for motorsports.

Mazda Miata Cup and MSCC Miata Spec Series

The well-known Mazda Miata Cup dates back in Japan where the Spec Miata series of Mazda Motorsports compete. Team Mazda Philippines recently completed the 12-hour 2021 Petron Kalayaan Cup Endurance Challenge. On the other hand, MSCC Miata Spec Series is a one-make race that provides a unique opportunity for MSCC members to hone their skills and to enjoy the pure essence of driving.

Formula V1 Race Challenge

Similar to the Vios Cup, Formula V1 is a single-make race series but will use West Racing’s VITA-01, a small sports prototype built in Japan by West Racing Cars.

Radical Philippines Racing Series

This season, known as the SEAOIL RADICAL CHALLENGE in the Clark International Speedway comes with the fastest race cars in the country go wheel-to-wheel.

Philippine Grand Touring Championships

The Philippine Touring Car Championships (PTCC), formerly the Philippine National Touring Car Championships, is the only touring car series running under the banner of the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). Round 6 was recently concluded at Clark International Speedway.

Philippine Rallycross Series and National Slalom Series 

This series race has been active for years. This is a dirt time trial championship racing series. With eight different divisions or classes based on engine displacement and vehicle type. The races are held in a closed course track environment stretching up to 3 km. 

Rallysprint Series

This is a one-day event where racers run through the same stages multiple times. Intense speeds are much higher as compared to the rally cross but not exceeding the adrenalin speed of a large scale rally event. It may run on paved and paved surfaces.

The exposition is graced by race organizers – Full Throttle Weekend (FTW), European Touring Car Championship Ph (ETCC Ph), National Slalom Series, Philippine Rallycross Series, Tuason Racing, and Super Sprint.

And supported by Alpinestars by AutoPerformance Motorsport, Aguila Auto Glass, Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), Blue Bay Walk, Brembo, DynoPro Philippines, Eneos Motor Oil, MetLive, Metropark, Radical Cars Philippines, Recaro, Stregawo/Magdrill, Stage Lighting, and Walter Sound.
