Access Plus Racing’s Ducati Panigale V2 S does double duty to deliver wins in PSBK, SS600 at BRC

Access Plus Racing continued its winning form in Round 5 of the 2026 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK), held on October 3–4 at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC). Racing the lightweight Ducati Panigale V2 S in both PSBK and Supersport 600 (SS600), brothers Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto and Troy Alberto claimed three race victories between them. It was also another remarkable weekend for Ducati, with the Italian manufacturer locking out every podium position across the races that took place.

With scorching temperatures throughout the weekend, Access Plus Racing continued to rely on the Panigale V2 S against the larger 1,000cc superbikes in PSBK. The decision proved effective as the lighter machine was well suited to the tight and technical BRC layout.
TJ immediately set the pace in PSBK Qualifying, securing pole position with a 1:37.353 lap. Troy was just 0.196 secs behind in P2, while Josh Tan of Petronas Sprinta Racing Team qualified 3rd aboard his Ducati Panigale V4 to complete an all-Ducati front row.
The same three riders went on to occupy the podium in Race 1. TJ converted pole position into victory, with Troy following him home in 2nd and Tan completing the podium in 3rd to give Ducati another clean sweep of the rostrum.

However, a sudden change in weather brought heavy rain to the circuit, forcing officials to call off Race 2. The cancelled race will instead be added to the season finale at Clark International Speedway (CIS) next month.
While TJ had the upper hand in PSBK, it was Troy who led the charge in SS600. Racing the same Panigale V2 S, the younger Alberto took victory in both races ahead of his older brother, with Enzo Rivero finishing 3rd on both occasions to complete two more all-Ducati podiums.
Troy also managed a personal best of 1:36.9 during the weekend, potentially marking one of the quickest laps recorded by a Supersport machine at the circuit.

The weekend carried added significance as it marked PSBK’s final visit to BRC in 2026. With the circuit reportedly scheduled for a complete resurfacing in 2027, the event gave riders one last opportunity to set personal benchmarks on the familiar, bumpy layout before the planned changes.
By the end of the weekend, Access Plus Racing had collected three victories and six podium finishes between TJ and Troy. Together with Tan’s 3rd place in PSBK and Rivero’s two podiums in SS600, Ducati occupied all nine available podium positions across the three races that took place.
With just one round remaining, TJ and Troy now head to CIS with one hand on the PSBK and SS600 titles, respectively. But rather than simply protecting their championship positions, the brothers are looking forward to the return of the Japanese riders and the prospect of another close fight in the season finale. Access Plus Racing also plans to bring back its 7th-generation Ducati Panigale V4 for PSBK, with the more powerful superbike better suited to CIS and its long straights.

TJ Alberto, #77: “It was a solid weekend for us, and I’m happy to come away with another win. Josh also did a great job securing another strong result for Ducati. I’m looking forward to the finale next month and hopefully battling with Japanese riders Akito Haga and Ren Okabe again.”
Troy Alberto, #69: “We knew we had to keep improving after seeing how close the competition was getting in the previous round. Setting a personal best of 1:36.9 on the Panigale V2 was a great achievement, especially at a circuit like BRC. It was also nice to achieve some personal bests on what could be our last time riding BRC in its current form. It’s a track we’ve all come to know and love, bumps and all.“
Toti Alberto (Team Principal): “Of course, we would have liked a closer fight and more competitors pushing TJ and Troy. But at the end of the day, we’re still very happy to take four wins and another strong result for the team. What’s also encouraging is that it wasn’t only Access Plus Racing putting Ducati on the podium. We saw other Ducati riders achieving strong results across the different classes, and a large part of the PSBK and SS600 grids are now racing Ducatis.“
