THREE PLACES TO VISIT TO COMPLETE YOUR CAVITE LOOP ON A BUDGET

LIFESTYLE ON WHEELS | MOTOURISM | FEATURES

Kymco Philippines has been so generous to let us experience #MoTourism for us to enjoy the #MotouringLifestyle. The 300cc Kymco XTown is expected to deliver 23.2 horsepower at its performing claimed Torque of 16.6ft-lbs @ 6500rpm.

Well, that’s too techie so let’s just say it will deliver excellent acceleration combined with a fuel-efficient ride. The same goes with the 400cc Kymco Xciting with a pillion ride that is known to be a manageable-sporty maxi-scooter. And the Kymco Like 150 that is, unexpectedly, runs as it has twice as much of its bigger brothers horses since it can catch up pretty well.

We aim to do a Cavite loop on a budget but the experience should not be compromised. It’s a 239-km ride or 6 hr 38 min and it can be done in a day. We planned it for 2 days to justify and have a clear memorable encounter of everything.

Here are the three places to visit to complete your Cavite loop on a budget.

KAYBANG TUNNEL, MARAGONDON

Cavite has a busy road starting from Daang-Hari, Aguinaldo Highway, and Maragondon road. Traversing the cities of Bacoor, Dasmarinas, and Ternate, Cavite is unpleasant due to narrow roads and congested side strip streets.

But, the struggle has paid off after reaching the serene scape of Kaybiang tunnel. The longest subterranean road tunnel in the Philippines. It became popular to visit by motorcycle and biker community. In fact, data shows that the topmost subregion searched on the web (Google Keyword Acces Tool Analytics Report) for Kaybiang tunnel for them to visit is from Calabarzon, Metro Manila, and Central Luzon.

Kaybiang tunnel is also known as the Gateway to the Western Coves of Cavite and Batangas. What to do? Stop for a while and drink coffee or have a bite of local foods sold in the area and have some selfie-pic with your friends. Or visit the nearby military camp cellsite tower and have a closer view of Corregidor Island. That is what we exactly did and it really is a breath of fresh air. Just be careful with the numerous riders plying around the area.

Wonder why riders often rev the throttle to its maximum or honk non-stop while passing through the tunnel? Hmmm. Well, urban legend says (8list.ph), this area is known long ago as “Barrio ng Aswang” but for us, that is another story to tell.

CAFETALISTA CAFE, THE STRIP

As Cafetalista says, we are a “go-to place” of people working inside the industrial park of Carmeltown, the residents of Nuvali and Morningfields, and the students of Miriam College, Xavier School, San Sebastian, and other nearby establishments.

True! We are on a late-night dine-in visit at The Strip, Carmelray Industrial Park, Calamba, 4028, Laguna, to experience the hang-out ambiance and this cafe is noticeable.

What’s best about this place is if you visit early in the morning, you will experience an aura of the sport biker’s cafe, and then echoes as a co-working yet relaxing out-of-office during rush hours until the night before the work-hours ends. This is outside of the Cavite area but it is within the boundaries of Nuvali and Silang.

Ms. Fajardo, the owner of Cafetalista Community Cafe, shared her blessings running the business.

The menu is sumptuous from their plating preparation to their mouth-watering ingredients learned from family generations, flavorful in every bite. You can enjoy specialty coffee, milkshake, and milk tea too. Hungry? Then order their famous Angus beef burger, flavored chicken wings, or pasta. Every visit is a different experience.
