Access Plus Racing set to bring new Panigale V4 into growing PSBK battle at CIS
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE
After surprising the paddock with a last-minute switch to the Panigale V2, Access Plus Racing opened the 2026 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) season with a dominant pair of 1–2 finishes at Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC). Now, the team is finally ready to debut Ducati’s latest superbike as the series heads to Clark International Speedway (CIS) this weekend.
The team heads to Clark with strong momentum after Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto and his younger brother Troy Alberto secured back-to-back 1–2 finishes last month. Originally arriving at BRC focused on developing the new 7th-generation Ducati Panigale V4, Access Plus Racing ultimately switched to the lighter Panigale V2 after being impressed by its pace during testing.

Now, with additional testing and development completed, the team believes the new Panigale V4 is finally ready for full race trim at CIS.
The heavily updated machine represents one of the biggest evolutions in Ducati’s superbike platform, featuring revised aerodynamics, a new double-sided swingarm, updated chassis geometry, and the latest version of the MotoGP-derived Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine.
TJ Alberto currently leads the championship standings as he begins his bid for a 6th consecutive PSBK Rider of the Year crown, while Troy Alberto enters the weekend looking to continue the strong pace he displayed during the opening round.
However, Access Plus Racing expects a much tougher challenge this weekend, with reports that additional riders are set to join the grid for Round 2. The team also faces another variable at CIS, with changing weather conditions and possible rain expected throughout the race weekend.
Despite the added challenges, Access Plus Racing remains confident as it prepares to begin the next chapter of its 2026 campaign with the competitive debut of Ducati’s latest Panigale V4.
Qualifying takes place on June 6 (Saturday), with the pre-final and final races scheduled for June 7 (Sunday).

TJ Alberto, #77: “I’m looking forward to the new competition this weekend at Clark. We’re expecting a stronger grid this round, including Japanese rider Akito Haga, so it should be a good challenge for everyone. As riders, racing against stronger competition always pushes you to improve and bring out your best, so I’m excited to see how the weekend unfolds.”
Troy Alberto, #69: “I’m excited to race this weekend at Clark. It looks like the competition level will be higher this round with more riders expected to join the grid, so it will be interesting to see where everyone stands. At the same time, the weather forecast looks a bit unpredictable, so we’ll have to approach the weekend carefully and adapt to whatever conditions we get.”
Toti Alberto (Team Principal): “We had a very good start to the season in Batangas, but we feel Round 2 will really mark the true beginning of the championship, with tougher competition expected to join the grid. That makes Clark a very important proving ground for the new Ducati Panigale V4. We’ve learned a lot from our early testing and development work, and now it’s time to see how the bike performs under full race conditions against a stronger field.”
