MPTC and SMC to Build New Expressways in CALABARZON

MPTC and SMC to build two new expressways in CALABARZON, the Cavite-Batangas Expressway (CBEX) and the Nasugbu-Bauan Expressway (NBEX).

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) and San Miguel Corporation (SMC) have signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to jointly build and operate two new expressways in CALABARZON: the Cavite-Batangas Expressway (CBEX) and the Nasugbu-Bauan Expressway (NBEX).

The CBEX will be a 27.06-kilometer expressway that will connect CALAX’s Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Nasugbu, Batangas. The NBEX will be a 60.90-kilometer expressway that will connect Nasugbu to Bauan, Batangas. The two expressways are expected to be completed and open to the public in 2027.

The joint venture between MPTC and SMC is a major milestone in the development of CALABARZON, one of the most important economic regions in the Philippines. The two expressways will help to improve connectivity and economic growth in the region, and they will also make it easier for tourists to visit the many attractions in Cavite and Batangas.
