Access Plus Racing welcomes stronger competition for PSBK, SS600 Round 4 at BRC

Access Plus Racing heads into the second half of the 2026 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) with another first for its 7th-generation Ducati Panigale V4 as the new machine makes its official Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) race debut on September 5–6.
The team originally intended to race the new Panigale V4 at BRC during the season opener. However, after discovering the potential of their Ducati Panigale V2 during testing, Access Plus Racing made a last-minute decision to enter its Supersport machines in the premier PSBK category instead. TJ and Troy Alberto went on to deliver a pair of 1–2 finishes that weekend.
It meant the 7th-generation Panigale V4 had to wait until Round 2 at Clark International Speedway (CIS) for its competitive debut, where it immediately delivered another pair of victories and 1–2 finishes.
Round 4 will therefore provide the first opportunity to see what the new Panigale V4 can achieve around BRC. While both tested the new machinery at the circuit, neither has raced the team’s fully prepared PSBK-spec bike there.
As the championship returns to BRC, Access Plus Racing has firm in control of the Pro Class standings. TJ leads with 175 points after three rounds, while Troy sits 2nd with 140 points as the brothers continue their pursuit of another championship 1–2.
Their success has extended to the Supersport 600 (SS600) class, where the pair have been equally formidable aboard the Ducati Panigale V2. Troy currently leads the championship with a 10-point advantage over TJ heading into the second half of the season.
Round 3 also saw strong competition from Japanese guest riders Akito Haga in PSBK and Ren Okabe in SS600, who challenged the Alberto brothers throughout the weekend. Access Plus Racing hopes to see both riders return at BRC and continue the close battles they enjoyed at Clark.
Weather could also add another variable to the weekend. Rain is forecast around BRC on both Saturday and Sunday, potentially limiting dry running and putting the team’s ability to quickly adapt the new Panigale V4 to changing conditions to the test.
Qualifying takes place on Saturday, September 5, before the races on Sunday, September 6, as Access Plus Racing looks to maintain its advantage in both the PSBK Pro Class and SS600 championships.
TJ Alberto, #77: “It was nice having Akito and Ren with us in Clark and hopefully they can join us again at BRC so we can have some good races. We’re leading both championships right now, but we’re still hoping for a serious challenge because that’s what pushes us as riders and helps us improve. It will also be our first time racing the new Panigale V4 at BRC, so it should be an interesting weekend.“
Troy Alberto, #69: “I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can do with the new-generation Panigale V4 at BRC. The chassis feels like a massive upgrade, so I’m really curious to see how much faster we can go around this track. Rain has limited some of our testing, but we made a big leap especially with the Supersport bike in Clark, so I’m excited to see if we can carry that pace over to BRC.”

We learned a lot from our races in Clark and the team has continued working on the setup, but BRC is a different challenge so there will still be a lot for us to learn.
