- Diego Silang Andaya was a rebel leader who conspired with British forces to overthrow the Spanish regime in the northern Philippines.
- Gabriella took over the rebel group after Diego’s death and forced to retreat to Abra riding her fast horse.
In case you notice, a monument found at the entry point of Abra, Tangadan Tunnel is Gabriella Silang monument riding a horse. It symbolizes the multiple occurrences whom she courageously fought for liberation.
