Amusing ride with Suzuki Avenis unfolds the historic Philippine culture at the working coconut plantation of ViIla Escudero.
The vibrant and amusing Suzuki Avenis captivates us as we unfold the historic culture of the Philippines in Villa Escudero. We managed to discover what the scooter can offer as we travel the rolling highway of Laguna and Quezon. We also explore the rustic life, discovering the culture and Filipino history. And that comes to life that is preserved at the VIlla Escudero. So let’s get going and keep the radiant spirit with the dynamic ride, Suzuki Avenis.
The second batch of the Avenis Media Test Ride is vibrant as expected. From the Suzuki manufacturing plant in Laguna, the ride heads on to the National Highway, Calamba, Laguna side. And makes a detour route from San Pablo City, Laguna to Tiaong, Quezon. The road is undoubtedly a mix bumper to bumper to straight speeding ride.
THE VIGOROUS RIDE
Suzuki Avenis is the first entry of the masculine sporty scooter from Suzuki Philippines in the country. And testing it on a long 65-km stretch seems not a challenge. But then, the traffic on some parts of Barangay Turbina, Calamba, Laguna made it even so.

The stop-and-go traffic flow manifests the strong character of moving a fast rev from stop. It accelerates well on a 30 to 60 kph mark and constantly goes to its max reading even on an inclined slope. Stopping is a breeze and in control even without ABS.

Of course, the tires are similar to the popular Burgman Street 125 but hey, the design and tires size combination served its purpose well. It made a fairly distinct character.
Reaching crowded urbanized San Pablo City may not be accommodating for a group ride but the sleek design made it cut through traffic in a matter of time. Unpaved road is manageable and the suspension system worked well in this. The trip is not that weary for body posture, arriving at Villa Escudero safe and sound.

FILIPINO HISTORY AND CULTURE COME TO LIFE
Just like Suzuki with such a long history making quality motorcycles to everyone, the Villa Escudero made the Filipino history and culture come to life. Not known by many, Villa Escudero was not open to the public until 1981.
My last visit in the Villa was way back in the late 80’s and a lot of things have changed. But the experience is always captivating as usual. Especially the superb meal served over the table with running water on your feet. For added information, the running water is built as an hydraulic power generator supplying the plantation. And the country’s first working hydroelectric plant.
The tour continued with a fascinating cultural show reliving the Filipino customs and way of life. More relevant and in depth-tour proceeds with the Museum tour housed at the San Agustin Church replica. There are lots of things to do that cannot be done in a day.
Do check them out and have a blast experiencing Filipino culture in a self-contained working coconut plantation, Villa Escudero.
As concluded, Suzuki Avenis is not just an urban ride that has a sporty and elegant look. But a ride that is dependable, vigorous, and aggressively good-looking masculine sporty scooter.
