BYD continues to maintain its leading position in the domestic EV market, surpassing its rival to become the leading EV company by sales.
According to the report released by the BYD Headquarters in China, BYD sold 641,400 new energy vehicles in the first half of 2022, up by a gigantic 315% year-on-year, BYD continues to maintain its leading position in the domestic EV market, and has surpassed its rival to become the leading EV company by sales.
BYD previously revealed in its investor conference call that its sales target of new energy vehicles in 2022 may be between 1.1 million units and 1.2 million units, including 600,000 pure electric vehicles and 500,000 to 600,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The latest report showed that BYD’s sales target was completed by more than half, indicating that it will strive for a higher sales volume based on an improved supply chain.
