A fast but light ride to Kabsat Grill via Marilaque with the Raiders

THE SCENIC HIGHWAY OF MARILAQUE

#AllOutRide in a fast curved highway of Marilaque

Marilaque is a sweet quick ride highway that fits our featured Suzuki Raider. Popular to riders, Marilaque Highway is known to be the weekend haven of motorcyclists. And also known to be the curvy mountainous roads for joyrides resulting in major accidents. But on the lighter side, Marilaque or Marikina-Rizal-Laguna-Quezon frequents visitors as a short escape to the bustling crowded Metro Manila.

Similar to Tagaytay where the South of Manila residents often visit for a quick meal, Marilaque also becomes synonymous with Cafes, Bed & Breakfast, and Al Fresco dine-in where you can enjoy the  mountain ranges similar to Batanes. Almost every scenic spot in this 117.5-kilometer highway sprouts in establishments for travelers and outdoor adventure lovers.

History archives reveal that during the American era, it was called Highway 55 (DPWH Data 2016). Resembling the Minnesota State Highway 55 that serves as a highway from central to the east, Marilaque serves as a favored highway going to the east side province from the central Metro Manila.

Then replaced its name during the Marcos regime as Marcos Highway. Further replaced as Marikina–Infanta Highway or Marikina–Infanta Road after the People Power Revolution. But known as Marilaque to the common travelers.
