An electrifying morning was at VinFast’s first EV Showcase in EDSA, Metro Manila. The energy is on hype, indicating VinFast’s serious commitment to the Philippine market. Their message was consistent, not just selling cars, of building a thorough A-to-Z ecosystem. Starting with the diverse vehicle options, to the nationwide charging infrastructure. Including the reliable after-sales support, this holistic approach truly stands out.

The start of the event was undoubtedly the all-new VinFast VF6. Hearing about its success in Vietnam during the welcome greetings, its impressive 480-kilometer range instantly sparked excitement in everyone. This urban SUV, designed by Torino Design, strikes a perfect balance of features, performance, and value. It aims to make EV ownership accessible for every Filipino family. Its key practical features, like the 170mm ground clearance, are just perfect for our local roads. Practical reasons for flooding are addressed with its IP66 water resistance rating. This brings any owners and future owners peace of mind.

Inside, the VF6 has an impressive 12.9-inch infotainment system and personalized driver profiles. That adds a touch of modern convenience. What’s even more exciting is VinFast’s announcement. It has future technology like the “VV Global” voice assistant and the “C-App” for remote monitoring. This tech feature highlights their vision for connecting the driving experience. The promise of 25-minute fast charging (10-70%) is surprising. And a remarkable Php 750 cost for a full home charge makes the transition to EV even more appealing.

Hitting the Road with the Two VinFast EVs

The event climaxed with eh much-awaited test drive. Attended by auto-media personalities and influencers, We at Lifestyle On Wheels were honored to be part of this activity. We embarked from VinFast EDSA on a 67.3-kilometer journey to Anya Resort in Tagaytay City. For the drive up, together with Test Drive Ph, we were behind the wheel of the VinFast VF7. Its powerful performance and smooth handling made the ascent to Tagaytay an absolute pleasure. The quiet cabin and responsive acceleration showcased the premium experience of a VinFast EV on the open road. Navigating through Magallanes, SLEX, Mamplasan, and CALLAX, is a breeze. A quick driver change stop at Nuvali made the driver feel the convenience and comfort of being a passenger.

Our destination, Anya Resort Tagaytay, perfectly complemented the drive. This luxurious haven provided a beautiful setting for a sumptuous lunch and photos. The nature-inspired resort reinforces the premium feel of the entire experience. It was a day that seamlessly blended advanced mobility with refined leisure.

For the return trip, we switched to eh VinFast VF6, taking the same route back to VinFast EDSA, Metro Manila. This was an excellent opportunity to directly compare the two models. The VF6, while more focused on urban practicality, delivers an incredibly comfortable and capable ride. Its agile handling and impressive range felt perfect for both city commutes and longer family trips. On our way down from Tagaytay, we made a quick #StopOver at the Gourmet Cafe. Here, we were treated to a thoughtful gift selection exclusively prepared for VinFast participants. Along with another opportunity for a driver change before continuing our smooth journey down to the Metro. Experiencing both the VF7 and the VF6 confirmed VinFast’s dedication. They are committed to offering a diverse range of EVs. These vehicles are designed for different lifestyles and needs.

VinFast’s showcase was more than just an exhibition; it was an invitation to embrace a sustainable and sophisticated lifestyle. I own a vehicle with an internal combustion engine (ICE). Driving both the VF 6 and VF 7 was truly eye-opening. It was especially insightful regarding the perceived “range anxiety.” Checking a battery level in an electric vehicle (EV) is similar to monitoring a fuel gauge. This is just like checking it in an internal combustion engine (ICE) car. Activities like this showcase are crucial. It offered a compelling blend of city driving and a short outskirt ride outside the Metro. They effectively condition the driving public. They prepare us for the realities of owning an EV. They also demonstrate its impressive capabilities firsthand. This event truly capitalized on the compelling future of green mobility. It proved that it’s not just possible. It’s genuinely within our reach and allows us to enjoy our lifestyle on wheels.
