The Love Bus Is Back!

The Love Bus is the first air conditioned bus plying around Metro Manila, is back bringing nostalgic moments to the urban public transport.

The famous Love Bus, the king of transport of Escolta, Avenida, and EDSA, will make a big wave once more. Yes, the Love Bus is back! The first fully-air conditioned public transport of the 70’s and 80’s has a revamped comeback. This time, it is more modern and reliable than ever. Back then, 700 public transport buses, of which 299 of them were Love Bus, operated by MMTC. The comeback plan is powered by Hino’s HS8J Low Floor City Bus. Here’s what the official release regarding its comeback has to say.

MODERN HINO LOVE BUS

The Hino HS8J Low Floor Bus features a ground clearance of 375 mm. and a side kneeling function to prioritize commuter convenience. Moreover, a larger flat-floor area and a folding ramp for boarding wheelchairs are integrated in the vehicle to accommodate priority passengers. It accommodates 62 passengers (36 seated and 26 standing). Powered by Denso air conditioned and SHARP Plasmacluster Ion Generator that purifies cabin air by disabling airborne contaminants. In addition, enjoyable commuting is complimented by its warm LED interior lighting and built-in 32-inch TV monitors.

For commuter’s confidence, it is powered by J08E common rail, direct injection Euro 4 engine. Power and performance further outputs a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission of 280Ps output and 824Nm of torque.
