Gian Carlo Mauricio’s Daring Dash to Victory: ‘The Flash’ Powers Yamaha Philippines to a Historic Win at the ARRC

Gian Carlo Mauricio, the rising star of the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team, finally broke through the podium barrier. After three seasons in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), he clinched his first-ever victory at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China. Starting from the 5th position, Mauricio’s final-lap heroics left everyone astonished. With the finish line in sight, he led the pack, unchallenged, securing not only his triumph but also the team’s first-place finish this season.

The team’s winning streak continues after a strong start in Round 1, where they secured podium spots in both the SS600 and UB150 categories. Teammate April King Mascardo also contributed valuable points, finishing 11th. Meanwhile, McKinley Kyle Paz, racing for the Yamaha Tekhne Racing Team Asia, maintained their lead in the standings. Although Race 2 was canceled due to weather conditions, the team’s consistency reflects Yamaha’s commitment to developing champions. Next stop: the Mobility Resort in Motegi, Japan, where they aim to keep the streak alive!
