The air buzzed with anticipation. Lifestyle On Wheels revved our engine to the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) on May 19, 2025. Filled with excitement, the event was staged for another launch. A mobility, innovation, and enduring passion for two-wheelers that defines the Philippine spirit.

The energy as we stepped into the heart of the All-New PCX160 unveiling was palpable. It brought insights from the passionate and keen eyes of Moto Media. Influencers and vloggers were also intently celebrating. This extensive collaboration with Honda Philippines Inc. set the tone for an event that promised both insightful industry updates and thrilling reveals.
The leadership was equally impressive. Special acknowledgment goes to the incoming President of Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI). It also goes to the executives at Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC). They focus on quality products and an unwavering commitment to safety.
The New Era for Honda Philippines: Welcome, Takeshi Kobayashi
The moment everyone is waiting for arrived as the new President of Honda Philippines, Mr. Takeshi Kobayashi, took the stage. His presence exuded a quiet confidence and a deep understanding of the brand’s global vision. “It is both an honor and a privilege to be with you today,” Mr. Kobayashi shared. He reflected on his journey with Honda across Japan, Europe, and India. He witnessed the brand’s consistent dedication to “advancing mobility and delivering joy to our customers.”
Mr. Kobayashi outlined his forward vision. He aims to hit an ambitious target of one million unit sales. He plans to achieve this by expanding on a three-year shop network. That is by growing its accessories and apparel business and enhancing the productivity of dealer operations. Sparking on this move is the unveiling of the latest AT model that will elevate the riding standards of riders. The All-New Honda PCX160 will turn heads, filled with elegance and comfort. It will bring Honda closer to millions of Filipinos.
The Grand Reveal: All Hail the All-New PCX160
The stunning All-New PCX160 wasn’t just a scooter. It was a statement of “elegance and sporty” design. It blends premium and power. The audience gasped as the dynamic video played, showcasing the PCX160 in its full glory.
The RoadSync type boasts a sophisticated palette of Matte Gunpowder, Black Metallic, and Pearl Fadeless White. The Standard type, on the other hand, offers a vibrant choice. These colors include Vortex Red Metallic, Pearl Fadeless White, and Matte Bullet Silver. This is an exceptional moment for everyone.
But the All-New PCX160 isn’t just about comfort. It has evolved with “YUKI ELEMENTS” – active, dynamic, strong, and solid. This fusion preserves its signature design while elevating its appeal. The styling concept emphasizes a connected body design from front to rear. It offers a “solid luxury as well as strength.” The rear bottom line is slightly raised and lightened. This change creates a “sporty and active impression.”
The redesigned LED taillight and front profile give the All-New PCX160 an aggressive and modern look. Its new handlebar covers and a redesigned foot area enhance both aesthetics and rider comfort.
Inside the frame is the PCX160’s powerhouse of 157cc four-valve liquid-cooled eSP+ engine. It promises to deliver “high power output while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency. On the tech-driven mobility advancement side, this new scooter model now integrates the Honda RoadSync System. These are features of Honda’s big bikes.
A new 5-inch TFT meter panel provided enhanced visibility and a comprehensive display. A multifunctional switch for intuitive operation makes the mode of use easy. The new sub-tank rear suspension improves winding comfort and load handling. Safety is paramount. Its Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) enhances safety. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) further increases the vehicle’s safety features. Additionally, a new passing light switch will assist in ensuring safety.
Convenience for daily ride is not compromised. A new USB Type-C charger is available for the fast charging needs of gadgets. The retained Honda Smart Key System for keyless operation is also available. Other features include a 30-liter under-seat storage. The Idling Stop System (ISS) improves fuel efficiency. There is also a hazard lamp switch for emergencies.
Looking Ahead: The Test Ride Conclusion
Mr. Jomel Jerezo, VP for Sales and Marketing of Honda Philippines, Inc., made closing remarks on the insightful unveiling. He expressed his gratitude to everyone for the unwavering support. He welcomed everyone to the exciting part. It was the first-hand experience and glimpse of what the All-New PCX160 offers. Mr. Paolo Salentes, a safety riding instructor, emphasized the importance of safety during the test ride. HSDC prepared a road map to better appreciate and experience the features of the All-New PCX160.
The test ride provided a comparison ride experience of both the previous model and the All-New PCX160. particularly the RoadSync type, with its 157cc eSP+ engine and the exciting connectivity features. While riders go ahead on the ride, a demo on how riders connect their smartphones via the Honda RoadSync application. This could utilize navigation, call, and message functions. Voice assist was available for navigation.
The all-new Honda PCX160 is available in two model variants with the following suggested retail prices (SRP) in the Philippines:
- The Honda PCX160 RoadSync type has an SRP of ₱154,900.
- The Honda PCX160 Standard type has an SRP of ₱133,400.
