LIFESTYLE ON WHEELS – CarSide
We witnessed in the video the Junior WRC driver Catie Munnings gameplay on Stage 1 Rally Turkey. She is participating in the eSports WRC Rally Turkey, which started last 25th June 2020. As you can see, the level of excitement is at par and the intensity increases as the race progress.
So how do we race in the virtual world? Previously we introduced you on how to race in the virtual world, https://bit.ly/Virtual_World_Race. We also showed you the champions of our local racers who participated in the Tuason Racing E-Sport Challenge https://bit.ly/E-Sport_Champions. Now we will give an insight into how to start your e-Sport Challenge.
Ask for a sponsor for the whole leg of the race season. Sponsors are important since just like in the real race, it will make your eSport saleable to potential participants and future partners. You can add a twist just like what the Tuason Racing Team did in their concluded race. They race with beneficiaries for the COVID-19 affected community.
Make race rules for each leg and championship. Just like in the actual race, you have registration practices, rules & regulations, race results tallying, team standing, and pointing systems. This is a sport and not a computer or console game. Everything should be clearly stated and registrations should not be complicated. Requirements should also adhere to the standards for qualifying for a race.
Develop gameplay. Hire a team of game developers to simulate the sprites, elements (real environment), and concept of each leg of your race. You can creatively present your gameplay to make it more interesting. Or have your gameplay developed by one of your partners for the whole package commitment. You can also sell each leg race gameplay after the game to newbie team race participants. Who knows, your official race release can be found and played commercially on console games.
Have a quality race simulator or rig. You may provide racers or have them require to have one at your standard requirement. In WRC races, the race simulator or rigs are provided by the partners. It will depend on your race rule requirement you set and your partners’ commitment.
I guess everything is all set. Now let’s race!
Should you have other suggestions we missed, let us know and leave a comment.
Happy Virtual Racing!
