“Goodmorning, goodmorning, goodmorning!” This is the way the host greeted everyone. As most businesses say, “Let the first sunray shine!” and that is for good luck. We are fortunate to be with the owner and founder of the first and only FIlipino-owned manufacturing company of motorcycle seats and seat-assembly in the country. And of course, we are delighted to meet the ambassadors representing the Somjin seat brand for the riders.
The Live PODCAST were graced by the Ambassadors- Claro Vlogs, Lakwatsera Motorista, Loki Moto, Boy Ambush, and Motokem. Together with Somjin Philippines’ Ms. Shallanie, they gave us insights about their work besides vlogging. And at the same time, we got a chance to discover more about the Somjin quality product seat made by the talented “Pinoy”.
Ms. Shallanie, the Executive Director of Voss Racing Enterprise, shared how the company grew from back-yard operation to what it is right now. The company started last 2014 manufacturing the first flat seats for small bikes. They develop models for “comfort” and at the same time for “porma”. Filipinos love to ride and with this, it led to the development of the camelback ride.
Trials came last 2019 and the seats were copied and illegally manufactured by other nationalities. But this made Somjin Philippines stronger. This paved the way to the introduction of the high-camelback seats. A demanding design that is very comfortable for longer-rides that is also suitable for short rides as well.
One factor that made it through is the quality. “Never downgrade”, exclaimed Ms. Shallanie, “If there’s a concern, we research and develop it.” She added. And during the pandemic, the company focused on the welfare of their employees. And practiced what they believed, “Do not always think of yourself but also consider the welfare of others”.
The Live PODCAST ended with a number of comments, engagements, and likers. It’s a good sign that Somjin Philippines is a well-received product for the Filipino riders.
