Taguig, Philippines, September 22, 2026 – The Philippine trucking industry is gearing up for a major milestone as the Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA), together with the Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (ABMAP), officially presented the vision behind the 1st Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) during its Press Conference held today.
Happening on October 22 to 24, 2026 at Hall 1 of the SMX Convention Center Manila, the inaugural PITS will bring together leading truck and commercial vehicle manufacturers, Philippine body builders, transport and logistics stakeholders, fleet operators, entrepreneurs, government representatives, suppliers, and industry partners in one dedicated commercial vehicle exhibition.
Carrying the theme “Driving Progress Together,” PITS represents more than the launch of another motor show. It reflects a shared vision of an industry working together to help move businesses, communities, and the Philippine economy forward.
Driving Progress Together
Every day, trucks and commercial vehicles quietly support the country’s progress. They move food and essential goods, deliver products to businesses and communities, support construction and infrastructure, serve agriculture and manufacturing, enable e-commerce and logistics, and provide transportation for people across the country. Behind every truck is also a larger ecosystem, from vehicle manufacturers and distributors to local body builders, suppliers, dealers, fleet operators, technicians, drivers, regulators, and customers.
This interconnected industry is at the heart of the PITS theme, “Driving Progress Together.” According to TMA President Robert D. Carlos, the first PITS was created to give the commercial vehicle industry a platform of its own, one where the sector can showcase not only products, but also the partnerships and solutions needed for its continued development.
“Trucks are essential to practically every sector of our economy, yet there has never been a major show in the Philippines dedicated specifically to bringing the entire truck and commercial vehicle ecosystem together. Through PITS, we want to create that platform. Our theme, ‘Driving Progress Together,’ reflects what we believe is necessary for our industry to move forward. Progress cannot be achieved by manufacturers alone. It requires collaboration among truck brands, body builders, customers, government, transport operators, suppliers, and other stakeholders. PITS is where we bring all of them together,” said Carlos.
The show is envisioned to strengthen industry collaboration while providing an opportunity to exchange ideas on the changing requirements of Philippine transport and logistics—from operational efficiency and road safety to new technology and more sustainable mobility solutions.
TMA and ABMAP: Bringing the Complete Business Solution Together
A key element distinguishing PITS is the collaboration between TMA and ABMAP, bringing together the vehicle platform and the body applications that transform a truck into a working business solution.
