The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) on October 14 signed a partnership with the Philippine EV Community (PEVC), the largest network of electric vehicle owners in the country with nearly 100,000 members, for the 14th Philippine EV Summit (PEVS).

Under the partnership, PEVC will lead an owner-led EV display at the Summit, giving visitors a close look at the cars Filipino families drive every day. PEVC will also manage the talks on the third day of PEVS, Saturday, October 24, with sessions built for EV owners and for anyone thinking of buying one. The community will also bring its members and their families to the Summit.

“The people who convince others to go electric are usually the ones already driving an EV,” said EVAP President Willy Q. Tee Ten. “With the Philippine EV Community on board, visitors get to hear real stories about charging, costs, and daily driving, straight from owners. That makes PEVS a lot more useful for anyone deciding on their next car.”

Themed “Driving ASEAN Forward: Building an Integrated Electric Mobility Ecosystem,” the 14th Philippine EV Summit runs October 22 to 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

This year’s Summit brings together over 15 vehicle brands for display and test drives, covering everything from city cars and family SUVs to premium and performance models, commercial vehicles, and electric two-wheelers. Participating brands include BYD, Kia, Toyota, Nissan, MG, Geely, Zeekr, Deepal, MINI, Lotus, Changan, AVATR, Dongfeng Motors, Forland, NWOW, and NXT.

“For many Filipinos struggling with volatile fuel prices and are curious about EVs, the next step is to try for yourself,” Tee Ten said. “At PEVS, we encourage you to see the displays, test drive the cars, and find the one that is right for you and your lifestyle.”

Beyond the vehicles, PEVS 2026 offers a walkthrough of the full electric mobility ecosystem. Visitors can explore charging solutions from home setups to systems built for commercial, industrial, and fleet operations. Banks, financing companies, and insurance providers will be on the show floor to help prospective buyers look past the sticker price and work through the real numbers of switching. Policy sessions, including the Department of Energy on the regulatory roadmap, round out the program.

The Summit is presented with partners ACMobility, the AutoHub Group of Companies, the Department of Energy, and Toyota Motor Philippines.

EV brands are joined on the show floor by Pioneer Trucks, Autowise, the Department of Science & Technology (DOST), MERALCO, Power Equipment & Supplies, Inc. (PESIN), Pyro X, EVOxCharge, BPI, ChargeCube Technologies, Eclimo Electric Management Inc. (EEMI), FCC Philippines, Finasiatech Corp., Intercharge Corp., Jiangsu, Pioneer Insurance, Shandong Longli Electronics, Shandong Weiwei Power, WeCharge Hyperfast, alongside media partners.

The Summit comes during a breakthrough year for the industry. Electrified vehicle sales in the Philippines have more than doubled in 2026, and government has set a target of 50 percent EV penetration on Philippine roads by 2040. This year’s theme also places the country’s EV transition in a regional frame, with the Philippines sitting as ASEAN chair this year.

Entrance to the Summit is P100, and students can enter for free. Registration is open at https://evsummit.net/.
