Angkas partners with Mayor Vico for free rides, shields to Pasig health care workers

After Angkas partnered with Manila committing to Angkas Free Ride for frontliners, Mayor Vico Sotto of Pasig City will now receive a treat from Angkas, the pioneering motorcycle taxi ride-hailing service. Angkas partners this time with Pasig City through Mayor Vico Sotto to provide the city’s medical frontliners free rides and shields.
Mayor Vico Sotto received the Angkas Shields donation from Angkas Chief Transport Advocate George Royeca. The Angkas Shields and Angkas Free Ride will directly benefit 2,000 HCWs assigned to its hospitals that cover the government-run, Pasig City General Hospital, and the Pasig City Children’s Hospital. These hospitals are also a COVID Referral Facility.
Angkas Riders will be deployed to these hospitals, ensuring a safe commute to all health workers to and from duty.

Recently, Angkas donated 1,000 Angkas Shields to PNP and DILG for distribution to fronliners with motorbikes and will further partner with other LGU’s to serve the number of health care workers (HCWs).
