Mikko is on top for Round 5 PACS 2020-2021

Round 5 PACS 2020-2021 returning racer, Mikko Briones, from Team Centrum Fuel, takes the fastest overall time and top spot.

It was a return to form for a returning experienced racer from Team Centrum Fuel Mikko Briones as he takes the fastest overall time and a top spot for Round 5 of the Philippine Autocross Championship Series that was held at R33 Drift Track.

Hot weather was a great contrast for the wet-ridden track conditions from Round 4 as both rounds were held in the same location. As with the hot conditions, drivers were adamant that they are going to give their best times early as the heat was a major factor on track grip and during some of the afternoon runs, they were a sprinkling of rain but nothing major as to affect track times.

Overall Class

As mentioned earlier, it was Mikko Briones on top of the Overall timesheets with a best time of 41.69. 2nd is Team Motul’s Ryan Ablang, despite having to borrow a race car from his cousin as his car was hit hard during the Sparco Grid race at Clark International Speedway.

Open Class

It is another showcase of a near-flawless drive from Ronz Yuzon as he gets the fastest time for the Open Classes with the best time of 42.08 2nd and 3rd are Mikko Briones and Ryan Ablang with their best times of 43.21 and 43.48 respectively.
