Jenson Button's Hypercar Debuted at The Quail

Bespoke Lotus Evija Hypercar of the former Formula 1 World Champion, Jenson Button, Debuted at The Quail in Carmel, California

The bespoke Lotus Evija hypercar of former Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button debuted at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on Friday, August 18. The car is a unique tribute to Button’s 2009 F1 World Championship-winning Brawn GP race car, with an Arctic White paint scheme, Verve Yellow accents, and the number 22 prominently displayed.

Customized Interior

The interior of the car was also customized to Button’s taste, with white and black perforated leather seats, an ebony Alcantara headliner and steering wheel, and Lime Yellow contrast stitching. The brake calipers were Verve Yellow, and the wheels were gloss black with magnesium matt black highlights.

Button is one of only 130 customers who will own a Lotus Evija. He is also the first customer to take delivery of the car. His delight with the car was expressed, saying that it is a “real head-turner.”

Pure Electric Hypercar

The Lotus Evija is a pure electric hypercar that produces 1,500 kW / 2,039 PS, making it the most powerful series production road car ever. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and has a top speed of over 200 mph.

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering is a prestigious event that takes place annually in Carmel, California. It is a showcase for the latest and greatest in automotive design and engineering. Button’s Evija was sure to be one of the stars of the show.

Iconic Racing Heritage

In addition to Button’s Evija, the unveiling of a thrilling all-new performance car that takes inspiration from Lotus’ iconic racing heritage was also seen by visitors to The Quail. They were also able to see the US debut of the Lotus Eletre Hyper-SUV.
