National Capital Region (NCR), and the rest of the regions 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, CAR, and CARAGA, is still enjoying the “FREE RIDE” offered by the Department of Transportation, to all health workers. This is in collaboration efforts of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Total ridership as of January 27, 2021, of this program, has reached 2,057,069, of which 564,627 total ridership in NCR-Greater Manila, while 1,492,442 in other regions.
The DOTr Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) expresses their participation and TOLL FEE remains FREE on ALL EXPRESSWAYS in Luzon for medical workers. While Petron Corporation, which provides FUEL SUBSIDY to transport companies involved in the initiative, other automotive and transport providers step up in supporting this cause.
DOTr extends their warmth support in the Free Ride Initiative Program to the following institutions: HM Transport, Diamond V8, Pascual Liner, Pamana Transport, Jasper Jean, Goldstar, Philtranco, UBE Express, DLTB, Genesis, Hi-Star, Thelman Transit, Ceres Transport, RRCG Transport, Jac Liner, Dagupan Bus, Star8, and Megaworld Corp. (Citylink), Hino, Hyundai, uHop, and Toyota Motor Philippines.
