Chevron together with the American Chamber of Commerce, Inspires Filipino Students Meet Industry Leaders at the AmCham BLP Event in Manila

Last week in Manila, the AmCham Business Leadership Program (BLP) was hosted by Chevron. It was all about connecting students with top executives from Chevron. We heard from industry rockstars Ethan Flowers and Billy Liu who shared insights on their careers and leading successful teams.

“We must know our priorities and we should be taking good care of our health because how can we deliver good outputs if we are not feeling well? We should always learn to have a work-life balance,” said Billy Liu, general manager of Chevron Philippines Inc.

“Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and analytical skills serve well in your career if you end up working in big companies like Chevron or other multinational companies. This will help you contribute to the team,” Ethan Flowers, general manager of Chevron Holdings Inc.

At the event, two students who went through the BLP program (Tonie and Eds) shared how it landed them jobs at Chevron! It got everyone excited to chase their dreams.

Chevron’s been a big supporter of the BLP program for 20 years! They’ve been passionate on meeting and learning from Filipino students. And hope sharing their experience helps them succeed.

The event also included Chevron scholars from the University of the Philippines, and it wrapped up with a cool tour of their offices! Students got to see different departments and chat with Chevron employees.
