Cavitex C5 Link Flyover Extension is now open

The 1.6-kilometer segment of CAVITEX C5 Link in the Merville segment is bound to improve traffic in the area and is now open to the public.

The CAVITEX C5 Link Flyover Extension (Segment 3A2: Merville to E. Rodriguez) is now open to the motoring public. This connects to the operational 2.2km flyover that provides convenient access and improved travel time for motorists.

This new 1.6-kilometer segment is expected to ease traffic coming from C5 Road in Taguig going to Merville, Paranaque, and vice versa. It will further help the traffic flow with the 7.7km CAVITEX C5 Link that will connect to the CAVITEX R1 Paranaque toll plaza. 50,000 motorists would benefit from this once completed. Target by 2023, it will cut travel time by 45-minutes going to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay. In addition it will aid better traffic flow in EDSA.

Opening Ceremony

Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan (MPIC), Sec. Jaime Bautista (DOTr), Undersecretary for Planning and PPP Maria Catalina Cabral (DPWH), MPTC Executives, President and CEO, Rodrigo Franco (MPTC), President and General Manager, Mr. Raul Ignacio (MPT South), and Corporation Head of Government Relations and Public Affairs and Head of MVP Group Media Bureau, Atty. Mike Toledo (MPI), graced the ceremonial opening. Senator Mark Villar, Congressman Edwin Olivarez and Mayor Eric Olivarez (Paranaque City), Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano (Pasay City), and other government partners and various community stakeholders, were also present in the event.

Toll Rates

Installation of Easytrip RFID and RFID check-up is available in CAVITEX C5 Link Customer Service Center. For a minimum initial load of Php 200, motorists can now enjoy fast travel with an expected and approved provisional rates of the following.

This implementation approved by the TBR will be deferred until September.

Project in full swing

The Segment 2 of CAVITEX C5 Link is now at 30%. It will connect other segments to CAVITEX R-1 Expressway in Paranaque. It will further shorten travel time from Cavite to Sucat. At the same time, decongest local roads such as Sucat Road and Quirino Avenue.
