CALAX Silang Aguinaldo achieves target with 10,000+ motorists

MPCALA Holdings Inc., the concessionaire of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), has reported a noteworthy achievement in traffic numbers at the recently opened Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange. Surpassing its targeted daily traffic in less than a month, the interchange recorded a peak daily traffic of over 11,000 vehicles, well beyond the projected 5,000. This 4km CALAX segment seamlessly links to Aguinaldo Highway, facilitating easy access for motorists traveling to popular tourist destinations in Tagaytay, Silang, Dasmarinas, and neighboring areas in Cavite.

Construction for the remaining segment of the CALAX Cavite Segment is progressing rapidly, with the next interchange extending from Silang (Aguinaldo) to Governor’s Drive in General Trias. The Governor’s Drive segment, spanning almost 8km, is anticipated to open to the public by the end of 2024, aiming to enhance the overall motorist experience and stimulate the regional economy. Looking ahead, CALAX is set to achieve a total length of 45 kilometers by 2025, featuring eight strategically located interchanges and connecting with the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX). MPCALA, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), is spearheading this development as part of MPTC’s broader portfolio, which includes various expressways in the Philippines.
