Benelli TNT600i Review… More than the name!
Benelli Philippines launched the middle-weight bike, 2020 Benelli TNT 600i, last year. Also released in Europe, India, and North America, this Italian naked-bike was badged and known in China as QJ SRK 600. The brand, Benelli, is now owned by the Chinese conglomerate Zhejiang Qianjiang.
THE LOOKS
Benelli TNT 600i is a stylish and aggressive motorcycle. Thanks to its front LED headlamp unit, edgy-shaped fuel tank, aggressive stance seat configuration, and twin-pipe exhaust system.
It has a clear digital odometer, tachometer, speedometer, and trip-meter. Its frame has a trellis design that adds support, character, and protection to the engine.
THE POWER
The engine is a 600cc DOHC liquid-cooled, in-line four power-house. It generates a whopping 80hp that delivers at least 54.6 Nm of torque. It has electronic fuel injection (EFI) that gives a better engine start and efficient fuel consumption even at higher speed using the 6-speed gearbox.
During our test, we managed to travel and consume at least 16 km per liter of fuel during the busy city traffic and 18 km per liter at the freeway. Its 15-L tank capacity can go a long trip in just a single full tank of fuel.
THE RIDE FEEL
Handling of the Benelli TNT 600i during the ride has a balanced weight distribution with or without a pillion ride. It might feel heavy on standing still traffic due to its 231 kg weight but it compensates the steering with no effort if in motion.
During the stop-and-go travel, the weight transfer is managed enough since it has a wheelbase dimension of 1,480 mm that plays well on both high speed and cornering.
The braking and suspension system is flexible enough to compensate both solo ride and with pillion ride. Its Telescopic inverted fork suspension at the front and hydraulic mono-shock at the back dampen vibration that affects the steering well.
The Benelli TNT 600i is available in Bianco White and Nero Black in all Benelli Lifestyle Shop at Php 438,000.00.
