OFFICIAL RELEASE: BAIC Philippines | PUBLISHER: ADVAI
Benjie Paras has played many roles: PBA legend, actor, comedian, and dad. Most days, all of them share one ride. For Paras, his BAIC is the vehicle that gets him through the work commute, the out-of-town trip, and the family outing without a second thought.
“It’s my everyday car,” Paras said. “When I go to work in the city or out of town, I don’t worry about the cargo space and it’s economical. And I feel safe when I’m driving with my kids on board.”
For Paras, the details of daily driving matter more than any spec sheet. He points to the safety technology first, specifically the system that helps prevent or reduce the risk of a collision.
“It automatically stops when you’re about to hit something,” he said.
He also values the conveniences you only appreciate once you live with them, like the automatic locking function that gives him peace of mind every time he steps out.
Anyone who has driven from one end of Metro Manila to the other knows how much comfort counts. Paras says the cabin is where his BAIC earns its keep.
“My body doesn’t hurt from a long drive. It’s so quiet that you’ll forget about the traffic. And it’s easy to maintain.”
A comfortable ride and manageable upkeep matter to someone who splits his week between city driving and longer trips.
The vehicle has also become part of the family routine. With passenger space, cargo room, and safety features that give him confidence on the road, Paras says his children are quick to claim it for outings.
“They’re always excited to use my car whenever we go out.”
Paras is also drawn to how the vehicle looks and feels. He credits the styling and features for an ownership experience he compares to something more familiar in premium circles.
“The style and features are way updated. It’s like owning a European car.”
Asked what he would tell fellow executives and businessmen weighing their options, his answer was short.
“All you’re looking for in an SUV are here.”
That momentum reflects where BAIC Philippines is right now. The brand has been steadily expanding its dealer network, with locations now open in Metro Manila and Cebu, and its lineup growing alongside that footprint, from the B30e Dune to the range-extended B40e Trailmaster rEV and B60e Beaumont. Each new model and dealership adds to a “Drive Big with BAIC” story that ambassadors like Paras say they experience firsthand, on the road, every day.
For Paras, the real endorsement is simple. It’s the car he reaches for first, whether he’s driving to work, heading out of town, or bringing the family along.
