Angkas Riders made a unity ride on EDSA to show gratitude to Congress, the IATF, the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and President Rodrigo Duterte. The taxi-hailing will be soon in operation to safely serve commuters to and from their work and help stir the reopening of the economy. The Angkas bikers ride with safety protocols and complying with mass gathering guidelines by IATF until reaching SM Mall of Asia, with no stop-over.
A voluntary initiative organized by the riders, the thanksgiving ride went from south to north and back, with no stopovers made in order to comply with the IATF’s rules on mass gatherings.

Over 5,000 Angkas riders excitedly plough the streets on their thanksgiving ride after the IATF gave its recommendation to allow motorcycle taxi services to resume operations.
“Now that the economy is slowly and safely reopening, 60% of workers are mandated to physically go back to work. However, there are only 40% public transportation that is available to them. Angkas would be happy to bridge that gap.”
