25 Offroad Squads Expeditioners Sends-off in the 1st Petron Philippine Overland Expedition 2022

The Flag off is set for the first Petron Philippine Overland Expedition 2022 ,taking the challenge of the mountains of General Nakar.

Mototesto and Petron together with industry partners send-off 25 groups of campers and competitors for the first ever Petron Philippine Overland Expedition 2022. This is a 285-kilometer-long stretch that started at the flag off in the LausGroup Event Center in San Fernando, Pampanga. And will end in General Nakar, Quezon.

GENERAL NAKAR

According to PhilAtlas, General Nakar is a coastal municipality in the province of Quezon. It is a popular destination for outdoor activities that includes camping, site-seeing, beach hopping, and off-roading. With an approximate total land mass of 835 square kilometer and 106 inhabitants per square kilometer, it is a perfect get-a-way destination for an expedition.

THE RACE STARTING LINE UP

25 off-roaders were divided based on their nature of participation. They were divided into two batches – campers and competitors. Being so, the ride to General Nakar is a challenging off-road ride core valued “This Is Not A Competition, Let’s Enjoy The Ride” .

The camper batch were scheduled for assembly at the General Nakar Municipal Hall and convo to the campsite the following day. While the competitor batch underwent scrutineering prior to the send-off. They will traverse the challenges of the General Nakar trails hoping to conquer the mountains for a scheduled 4-day expedition. Both batches were expected to be in Manila by this coming Sunday, 23 October.
