Having some challenges in Japan, Yamaha Philippines looks to defend and put more effort into Indonesia
The Yamaha Philippines Racing Team is heading to Indonesia for round 4 of the ARRC after a challenging stint in Japan. McKinley Kyle Paz, who had a podium finish in Thailand, struggled with the unfamiliar racetrack in Japan and finished 11th in Race 1 before crashing out in Race 2.

Gian Carlo Mauricio, who won the recent China leg, faced a different challenge. Mauricio’s teammate April King Mascardo got hurt badly in practice and won’t race for the rest of the season. This is the first time Mauricio will race alone. He did okay in the first race but crashed in the second one.

Even though things were tough in Japan, Yamaha’s SS600 team is still in first place! They’re heading to Indonesia next (July 26th to 28th) to try and keep that lead. Their rider, Mauricio, will also be racing in Indonesia to try and do better than he did in Japan.
