Suzuki Raider Big Ride Takes Heartfelt Detour to Aid Mt. Kanlaon Eruption Victims
Suzuki’s annual Raider Big Ride took a heartwarming detour this year. Before hitting the open road, the riders and the Suzuki brand put their SHARE mission (Suzuki Helps, Aids & Rebuilds) into action. They traveled to Brgy: Sag-ang, La Castellana, an area hit by the recent eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.

The Suzuki team wasn’t there to ride. They came bearing gifts! Over 1100 relief goods were delivered, along with truckloads of water for the affected families. Suzuki knew fixing their rides would be a big help since the ash messed with everyone’s motorcycles. So they offered free check-ups and oil changes for two days, fixing up over 50 bikes for residents.

Clean water was a major concern for the residents due to ash contamination. Suzuki prioritized distributing gallons of water during the event. While the situation has improved somewhat, the ashfall’s lingering dust and odor remain a worry, especially with the volcano still on alert level 2.
