In the heart of the Carmona Racing Circuit in Carmona, Cavite, the future of Philippine motorcycle racing took center stage on November 18, 2023. Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) proudly hosted the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup (HPDC) Tryouts. A thrilling event aimed at discovering and nurturing the next generation of Filipino racing talents.

Eighteen young and determined riders, fueled by passion, made a mark in the racing world and participated in the tryouts. The track echoed with the revs of CBR150R bikes, each rider showcasing their skills over four intensive sessions. It was a true test of both speed and technique as they vied for a coveted spot in the HPDC program.

The Selection Process

The task of selecting the cream of the crop fell upon the capable shoulders of Mr. Shigeki Honda, the Founder of HARC-PRO. And Coach Charles Nolasco, a seasoned figure in Philippine Super Bike (PSBK) racing and an experienced coach. After a meticulous evaluation, 12 riders emerged victorious, their skills and potential undeniable.

Initiated in 2017, the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup has a noble purpose – to develop and mold young, talented Filipino riders. It is an avenue for young riders aspiring to become professional motorcycle racers. The tryouts, conducted using race-ready CBR150R bikes, mirror the conditions of domestic and international racing competitions.
