MPT South Launches Drayberks B.I.S.A. Caravan for Road Safety Month

Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), is taking road safety to new heights with their flagship program, ‘Drayberks,’ in honor of Road Safety Month. Teaming up with Cavite State University (CvSU), MPT South has introduced the ‘Drayberks’ B.I.S.A (Buhay Ingatan, Sasakya’y Alagaan) Caravan. This one-day seminar focuses on vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting, providing motorists with the necessary knowledge and skills to confidently navigate the roads.

Drayberks’ B.I.S.A Caravan

The first session of the ‘Drayberks’ B.I.S.A Caravan took place at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and was attended by bus drivers, traffic enforcers, and members of the transport group ACTO, including its president, Ms. Liberty de Luna. The seminar highlighted the importance of thorough vehicle preparation before embarking on a journey, emphasizing the significance of equipping and maintaining vehicles for a safe travel experience.

Experts and instructors from CvSU provided attendees with detailed guidance using the BLOWBAGETS mnemonic vehicle maintenance checklist, covering essential aspects such as battery, lights, oil, water, brakes, air, gas, engine, tires, and self. This practical approach equipped participants with valuable skills to properly maintain their vehicles.

#EGGStraSafe experiment

Adding an engaging twist to the campaign, MPT South introduced the #EGGStraSafe experiment, drawing a parallel between the fragility of an egg and the delicate nature of life on the road. This initiative effectively reinforces the importance of road safety in a memorable way.

MPT South urges motorists to join the upcoming ‘Drayberks’ B.I.S.A Caravan sessions at SM City Bacoor and SM City Santa Rosa Atrium 1, providing opportunities for drivers to enhance their road safety knowledge and skills.

Operating Manila Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), CAVITEX C5 Link, and Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), MPT South’s ‘Drayberks’ road safety advocacy aligns with MPTC’s ‘Mission: Road Safety’ initiative, promoting road safety awareness along MPTC expressways in Luzon and Visayas.
