October 4, 2025 — San Remigio, Cebu — Extending its role as a Responsible Partner beyond providing quality commercial and light commercial vehicles, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), together with its Cebu dealer partner Iconic Dealership, Inc. (IDI), donated essential relief supplies for 200 families in Barangay Poblacion, San Remigio, one of the municipalities most affected by the recent earthquake in northern Cebu.

This initiative follows the devastating 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck on September 30, 2025, impacting over 170,000 individuals and claiming more than 70 lives, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Led by IPC Department Head of Dealer Sales Mario Ojales and Isuzu Mandaue Branch Head Eufemio Ybanez, the Isuzu team transported relief goods and bottled water from Mandaue City to San Remigio, which had been placed under a state of calamity and issued a Minor Sea Level Disturbance advisory. In a show of innovation and compassion, Isuzu Mobile Medic trucks, typically used to provide on-site vehicle assistance, were repurposed to deliver vital supplies to affected residents.

At Isuzu, we believe that being a Responsible Partner also means stepping up when communities need us most,” said Mario Ojales, IPC Department Head of Dealer Sales. “We are committed not only to powering businesses but also to empowering lives, especially in times of crisis.

It was truly heartwarming to see how the community came together despite the challenges,” added Eufemio Ybanez, Isuzu Mandaue Branch Head. “We’re grateful to be part of an organization that prioritizes compassion and action, and we’re proud to support our fellow Cebuanos.
