Ducati Dominates Manibela Challenge: Off-Road Prowess Meets Philanthropy

DUCATI PHILIPPINES SHOWCASES OFF-ROAD SUPREMACY IN MANIBELA CHALLENGE SEASON 2

Legends and personalities from road racing, adventure and motocross teamed up to showcase their wares in the Manibela Challenge Season 2 last May 26 to 29, 2025, at the KDR Adventure Camp in Orani, Bataan.

Ducati Philippines Access Plus Rally Team composed of superbike champs TJ and Troy Alberto, off-road legends Caloy Gaston and Wilcon Dalinog, and motocross champ Sam Tamayo took the top step of the podium in the Team Category and received 500,000 pesos after finishing with the best time of 00:52:30.698 and final score of 45.420.

While the Ducati Philippines Adventure Team led by Ducati Philippines President and CEO Toti Alberto, off-road veteran Rey Relativo, Donald Castillo, Ren Sy and Arnel Gozon took 3rd place and received 200,000 pesos after displaying grit and passion in tackling all 44 obstacles of the challenge and finishing with a total time of 01:02:44.350 and final score of 38.385.
The two teams will be donating their prize money to their chosen charities.

In the Ultimate Adventure Category, Caloy Gaston aka The Philippine Wheelie King, dominated and cemented his legendary status after showcasing precise maneuvers on the Ducati Multistrada V4 S and finishing with an impressive time of 00:10:24.930 and final score of 10.025.

Also on a Multistrada V4 S, former FIM Supersport 300 World Championship racer Troy Alberto took the 2nd spot by entertaining everyone with his high-speed maneuvers and finishing with a time of 00:09:11.703. Troy also showcased the off-road capacity of the Hypermotard 698 Mono when he won 3rd place in the Middleweight Adventure Category with a time of 00:07:53.092 and total score of 12.323.

Wilcon Dalinog showcased mastery in controlling the Multistrada V4 S as he takes the 3rd place in the Ultimate Adventure Category with a time of 00:10:27.967 and total score of 9.539. The veteran adventure rider also took the 2nd place in the Middleweight Category on a Hypermotard 698 Mono with a time of 00:08:10.331 and total score of 12.869.

Four-time Philippine Superbike Champion TJ Alberto made his mark in the Heavyweight Category by electrifying everyone with his speedy maneuvers on the Ducati Desert X Rally. TJ takes 3rd place, with a time of 00:09.485 and a final score of 10.230.
In the Female Category, 15-year-old motocross champ Shana Tamayo, tackled all 44 obstacles in 00:12:13.044 on a Hypermotard 698 Mono and garnered a 7.585 total score to take the 2nd place award. While former National Swimmer and ASEAN gold medalist Bhay Newberry, takes the Ducati Scrambler and bags the 3rd place as she finishes in 00:14:19.694 and with a total score of 5.973.
Besides local racing, Ducati is also making its presence known in the international off road and adventure scene with the Multistrada V4 Rally and the Desert X Rally, who won at the Erzbergrodeo, one of the most popular extreme enduro competitions. Plus, with its recent launch of its first motocross bike, the Desmo 450 MX, Ducati surely has its eyes set on making a mark in the off road scene.
