Audi Unveils Premium Charging Hub in Salzburg, Austria, Redefining Electric Vehicle Charging Experience
Audi has opened its first charging hub in Salzburg, Austria, expanding its network of premium quick-charging stations. This marks Audi’s fourth charging hub worldwide, following locations in Nuremberg, Berlin, and Zurich. The hub is situated adjacent to MOONCITY, a competence and experience center for new and electric mobility, providing a convenient and customer-friendly charging experience.
Unlike many other quick-charging stations, the Audi hub does not require a medium-voltage connection and is based on modular containers called “charging cubes” containing refurbished lithium-ion batteries.
The Charging Hub
The hub features four charging points with a buffer storage unit, enabling constant charging with up to 320 kW output at each point, even when all four are in use simultaneously. The facility prioritizes accessibility, with ample space for wheelchair users and adjustable payment terminals. The charging hub is not limited to Audi drivers; any electric vehicle with a CCS charging port can use the facility. With this expansion, Audi continues to enhance the charging infrastructure for e-mobility while delivering a premium charging experience.
