Mr. George Royeca, Angkas Chief Transport Advocate, submitted the proposed health and safety protocol stating reasons why Angkas is ready and safe to accept passengers.
Pre-registered passengers. Motorcycle taxis are much like a shuttle service with pre-registered passengers. This will already ensure strict contact tracing for those who might test positive for the virus in the future.
Personal helmets and own face masks. All passengers should strictly use their own helmets and carry their own face masks to limit contact. Bikers will be subjected to regular COVID-19 testing.
The proposed plastic shield between biker and passenger. As an added safety protocol, this plastic shield will help mitigate virus transmission.
