Yamaha Motor Philippines' Commitment to Off-Road Excellence

YAMAHA RIDING ACADEMY CONDUCTS OFF-ROAD TRAINING CERTIFICATION

Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. has once again demonstrated their unwavering commitment to excellence in every aspect of their operations. Recently, their Motorsports Instructors embarked on a special off-road certification program conducted by the esteemed Yamaha Riding Academy. Over the course of three days, this intensive training session aimed to refine the skills and expand the knowledge of all participants in the realm of off-road motorcycles.

Enhancing Expertise Through Practice

On the final day of the program, the instructors, armed with their newly acquired certifications, were eager to put their enhanced expertise into practice by training participants from the YZone and Rev Zone shops. Spearheading this certification program was none other than Yuji Nakazawa, an exceptional trainer from Yamaha Motor Company Japan. Nakazawa’s notable achievements include multiple championships in Motocross and Snowmobile competitions held in Japan and the United States during the late 90s to the early 2000s.

Focusing on Essential Elements of Off-road Riding

Throughout the training course, participants focused on various essential elements of off-road riding. These included perfecting Riding Posture, mastering Perimeter control, honing Start and Stop techniques, refining Braking skills, adapting to both Sitting and Standing positions, maneuvering through Slalom courses, executing precise Small Turns, and navigating Uphill and Downhill terrains.

Enriching a Prestigious Program

The presence of accomplished individuals such as April King Mascardo, who secured the third position overall in the 2022 UB150 category of the ARRC, added further prestige to the program. Off-Road Champions Bornok Mangosong and Pia Gabriel were also actively involved, contributing their expertise to enrich the learning experience.
