Suzuki Raider R150 Summit 2023 Celebrates Two Decades of Unrivaled Performance

Thousands of Suzuki riders gathered at the World Trade Center in Manila on July 16, 2023, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Raider motorcycle in the Philippines. The event, known as the Raider R150 Summit, was a day celebration of all things Suzuki, from custom bike contests to fuel-efficiency demonstrations.

The excitement for the event was palpable, with riders from all over the country arriving at the venue days in advance. The rain did not dampen the spirits of the riders, who were eager to celebrate their shared love of Suzuki motorcycles.

Raider Custom-Bike Contest

The highlight of the event was the Raider Custom-Bike Contest, which showcased the creativity and craftsmanship of Suzuki owners. The winners of the contest were:

Best Custom Bike for Carburetor: Mauro Adriano Jr. of 5J Customs
Best Engine Tune-up: John Ibasco of Johnworks Racing Team

Raider motorcycles on display

The brand also highlighted the fuel efficiency of the Raider R150 Fi. It was recently shown to achieve a fuel economy of 128.2 km/L in a Fuel Econorun. Suzuki riders from all over the country danced to the Oras na Para MagMotor jingle. And Suzuki’s complete line-up of motorcycles was on display for riders to view and test rides.

Special recognition

Suzuki also gave special recognition to selected clubs, including the ROCI, the Raider R150 Laguna, the Raider 150 Bataan, and the ROCI Bicol. The oldest Suzuki Raider motorcycles were also awarded, with the oldest model being a 2001 R125 owned by Jess Colasi.

The Grand Raffle Prizes of 3 V-STROM 250 SX were won by Roland Odango, Grace Delos Reyes, and Maria Pauline Baroro.

Suzuki’s strong relationship with its riders was underscored in a heartwarming segment led by the Suzuki club president and Suzuki Philippines’ Club Relations Lead, Sherwin Florendo.
