As Motorcycle Taxi’s and other app-hailing service providers have become the key factors to stir up the economy, the House of Representatives led by Congressman Edgar Mary Sarmiento encourage the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and the National Task Force (NTF) on COVID-19 to allow these transport providers to aide in workers to commute with this safe public transportation in times of the pandemic.
The committee has passed on points to reconsider that it is vital to revive our economy. Allowing tricycles and motorcycle taxis may help mobilize people who are the essential workforce in putting back gradually the economy. It will go a long way towards augmenting our current transport capacity as long as safety health measures are observed.
Motorcycle Taxi’s ferrying passengers were greatly affected by the safety protocols set by the IATF and NTF. Adding additional layers technically provides additional protection when looking at the health issues but lessens the safety on the road during travel. Factors such as balance, wind-drag, and controlling of the motorcycles.
