Phoenix Asphalt engages CAAP for new product used in airport runways

Phoenix Asphalt Philippines, Inc. and TIPCO-COLAS from Thailand recently conducted a Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) Technical Seminar at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) office. The seminar aimed to share knowledge on PMB and the latest asphalt technologies for airport runways, while promoting the product to potential customers. Attended by 27 CAAP Runway Design Team & Engineers, the event featured speakers from TIPCO-COLAS who discussed the benefits of PMB, Asphalt Penetration Grade 40/50, and Asphalt Emulsions. Following the presentations, a discussion was held on airport runway asphalt solutions.

Additionally, the organizing teams met with the Manila International Airport Authority to introduce new technologies and asphalt materials for runway design, considering weather changes, increased aircraft loads, and construction methods.
