After four Free Practice sessions, both riders showed massive growth. Melchy Ngo #42 set a best FP lap of 45.763s, while Mike Supan #43 recorded 46.526s — their fastest laps across all combined FP sessions. From Day 1, they adapted quickly to the international track flow and world-standard Ohvale 160cc machinery.

In Qualifying 1, Melchy placed P11 with a strong 46.135s, while Mike delivered 46.683s — both fighting for Q2 entry, but missing the Top 4 cutoff. This sent them into the elimination rounds: Qualifying Race 1 and 2.

Qualifying Race 1 was a full 14-lap sprint. Melchy started from Grid 17, while Mike launched from Grid 23. Melchy pushed through the pack to finish 15th, with an impressive best lap of 45.935s and a total time of 10:57.994. Mike finished 18th, posting a best lap of 47.084s and a total time of 11:13.676. Their times showed significant gains as they fought against world-level competitors.

In Qualifying Race 2, the pressure was even higher. Melchy started again from Grid 15, and Mike from Grid 21. Only the winner of Qualifying Race 2 would advance to the main race the following day.

But at the moment the lights went out, Melchy’s bike stalled on the grid, instantly costing him a full lap before he could even join the pack. Despite this massive setback, he refused to give up. Lap after lap, he pushed at maximum pace — and by the end of Lap 12, he had already caught the backmarker of the race.

He didn’t need to overtake — just the fact that he reached the last rider despite being one lap down shows how fast, determined, and focused he was. This was one of the strongest displays of heart all weekend.

A multi-rider crash on Lap 12 triggered a red flag, and with over 70% of the race completed, the results were officially declared at Lap 12.

Melchy finished QR2 with a total time of 8:03.752 and a best lap of 46.172s.

Mike completed the race in 8:01.344, finishing strong with a best lap of 47.055s.

Though Team Philippines did not reach the Final Main Race, the progress was undeniable. From their first laps to their last, both riders matched world-level pace, learned an international track in days, and demonstrated discipline, courage, and fire that impressed everyone watching.
