A motorcycle taxi provider based in Manila, Philippines, recently organized its first-ever passenger feedback forum. The forum aimed to deepen the company’s commitment to safety and enhance its safety programs on the platform. During the forum, MOVE IT General Manager Wayne Jacinto led discussions with a diverse group of regular passengers. Insights were gathered regarding moto-taxi safety mechanisms.

Based on productive discussions with commuter groups and in-app feedback, MOVE IT swiftly implemented new safety measures and technologies.

These measures include:

Road Safety Skills: Mandatory quarterly training sessions for rider-partners, face-to-face values, and behavior seminars, and a focus on a positive rider mindset.
New Technologies: Real-time data analytics to monitor rider-partner speed and immediate “Overspeeding Alerts.”
Emergency Response: Expansion of the on-ground Emergency Response Team and incentives for proactive accident reports.
Gear Quality: Stricter gear inspections and continuous provision of top-tier protective equipment.
