Mazda Motor Corporation is developing its product towards a long-term goal. The Mazda Sustainability ZOOM-ZOOM 2030, since its development policy, new technology is gearing forward carrying the vision, “Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030″.
In spite of the carbon neutrality plan target by 2050, Mazda is moving sustainability towards 2030 following the five policies.
Efficient manufacturing
The development of “SKYACTIV Technology” in 2007 clearly updated combustion engine performance. In addition, it paved the way to a better electrification technology output. It continuously upgraded and moved to SKYACTIV-X. Moreover, SKYACTIV EV Scalable Architecture is in 2025’s Mazda sustainability target.
Electrification and Introduction of Products
The “SKYACTIV Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture” products are set to debut in Japan, Europe, the US, China, and ASEAN countries. Following the program between 2022 and 2025, not only it will consist of five hybrid models1 but will have some level of electrification ratio of 25%.
Accident-Free Society
his “Mazda Co-Pilot” driving system not only monitors the driving condition. In fact, it monitors the sudden change in the driver’s physical condition as well. Also, it switches to autonomous driving, bringing the car to a safe place for a stop, and places an emergency call. And it was on a directive to be implemented on all Mazda Sustainability Zoom-Zoom vehicles by 2022.
Next-generation mobility services
Mazda is on the development of fundamental software technology. In order to accomplish this, the next-generation Mobility as a Service (Maas) joins with Five Japanese OEM companies 3 developing standard engineering specifications of next-generation in-vehicle communication devices. As a result, it pushes for safer and stress-free connected services.
